Hamo (conger eel) dishes are a traditional Kyoto cuisine from early summer to autumn.


'Hamo no Otoshi' (parboiled conger eel)

Our 'Hamo no Otoshi' using natural wild-caught hamo from Awaji is available for a limited time only. The hamo is briefly parboiled, keeping it moist and tender. Served with three different sauces: homemade plum paste soy sauce, roasted sake and chiri-zu vinegar.

Price: 5,500 yen per dish (incl. tax)

'Hamo no Yakishimo' (grilled conger eel)
Available until 31 August 2024
We offer grilled hamo (conger eel) from Awaji, famous for its high quality hamo, until late August. Using the premium binchotan charcoal, the hamo is grilled just enough so that you can enjoy the natural aroma of the hamo. Served with three different sauces: homemade plum soy sauce, roasted sake and chiri-zu vinegar.
